Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE SCOPE OF WORK Furnish all labor and equipment necessary to perform all repair work associated with the repairing the electrical feeder breaker at Building 61 located at the VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, Biloxi, Mississippi 39531. Background: Building 61 is the primary electrical switch gear, which controls power to multiple healthcare buildings on the campus and directly affects patient care if not working properly. Recently the VA Medical Center power utility authority, Mississippi Power Company, discovered that (2) feeder breakers were not operating properly and are in need immediate repairs. All work performed on the VA owned electrical switch gear Building 61, must be performed by the power utility authority for the facility. The intent of this requirement is for MPC to make all necessary repairs to (2) feeder breakers as outlined below and to immediately restore the power system to normal operation. It is imperative that power disruption to the facility is minimal. The work required is listed as follows: Power/Vac circuit breaker SN:103924-02-001 Provide Technical Specialist, tools, equipment, and parts to repair one GE Power/Vac VBH 15.0-50-3 circuit breaker. The secondary disconnect and damaged pins are to be replaced. The breaker will be repaired, fully tested, adjusted, and returned to service. Power/Vac circuit breaker SN:103924-02-009 Provide Technical Specialist, tools, equipment, and parts to repair one GE Power/Vac VBH 15.0-50-3 circuit breaker. The secondary disconnect and damaged pins are to be replaced. The breaker will be repaired, fully tested, adjusted, and returned to service.
