Page 2 of 2 PURPOSE: This is a Request for Information/Sources Sought announcement only. This is not a solicitation announcement. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The NCO 15 Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) Contracting is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to locate potential sources to perform updates/upgrades on the existing KNAPP A-frame Auto Picker equipment that was manufactured by KNAPP Inc. at the Dallas CMOP located in Lancaster Texas. The scope of the upgrade will include upgrading to the latest technology available utilizing KNAPP software, an update of all ejectors from the SDA2000 to the SDA2007, BBU aka, High Speed Transfer Station (this is a complete replacement package including new motor and motor VFD drive), update of the existing SDA control software with the newest version of ACS, exchange/replacement of central belt including all bearings, rollers, drive motor, motor VFD, and install stackable light indicators with an audible alarm on each module to indicate errors or empty channels. This work is an upgrade to a proprietary technology, and it needs to be updated utilizing KNAPP Inc. proprietary technology. Any Contractor responding to this notice must be able to show that they are authorized by KNAPP and have the experience necessary to upgrade KNAPP hardware and software. The Contractor must purchase the KNAPP products necessary to upgrade the hardware and software that are no longer unsupported or at end of life and arrange for delivery of such products to the Dallas CMOP. The Contractor must complete all upgrades without disruption of to CMOP production system. SUMMARY: The NCO 15 CMOP Contracting is conducting market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources that can meet these requirements. Offers are not being solicited at this time. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request for information. Please answer all of the following questions: Is your company currently licensed or certified to service KNAPP hardware and software? Does your company have past performance that would show your company s experience upgrading KNAPP hardware and software to include projects with installation and maintenance of similar systems. Examples of work shall include, but are not limited to, Scope of Work, Dollar Value, timeline and a detailed explanation to show how for your company coordinated the upgrades with KNAPP. List any other KNAPP equipment and software that your company is currently authorized to install and service. Does your company have experience upgrading A-Frame systems in a live environment without disruption to production? Can your company provide a one-year service agreement and warranty to cover the upgrades? If intending to subcontract or enter into any sort of partnering agreement, is your partnering company currently authorized by KNAPP to service hardware and software? What percentage of work will your partnering company be doing? Any responses to this RFI must include answers to all of the above questions in order to adequately assess the capabilities of the marketplace in relation to the requirements of this procurement.
