Description
The U. S. Food & Drug Administration, (FDA) Office of Acquisition and Grants Services (OAGS) has a requirement to procure: ORA-2024-124322-PHI District Shredding Services, for a base year (12 months) plus four (4) 12 (months) option years, under Solicitation Number: FDA-RFQ-ORA-2024-124322-PHI.See attached RFQ.
Responses to the vendor questions.
- The bins are required to be emptied once every two months.
- The frequency of service is once every two months.
- The “Pierce and Tear” shredding method is acceptable for this requirement as long as it is in compliance with the NAID standard and produces shredded paper with a maximum with of ¾ inch wide by 3/4” x 2 ½” long. We encourage all vendors who can meet the requirement to submit a bid.

- Shredding services does not need to be rendered daily. Shredding services are needed at each location once every two months.
ii. There is enough flexibility in the requirement to facilitate a shred schedule that has pickups for each location on different days. The primary need is for shred bins to be collected once every two months. The exact pickup days can be coordinated with the assigned COR on the contract and/or a provided local point of contact.
