Description

The Contractor shall provide all parts, materials and services to properly repair the components of the existing York 500-ton centrifugal chiller that were installed in 2011.  The chiller is still within its life-cycle, but is experiencing mechanical failures that cannot be prevented with routine maintenance and servicing.  Chiller #2 experienced a power surge, and is currently inoperable requiring a variable speed drive (VSD) and motor repair.  The repairs will include but not limited to the specifications listed below.  All service to be completed by qualified personnel using only genuine York factory parts.  Seismic zone requirements, environmental compliance, life safety, NFPA, OSHA, federal, state, local codes and regulations will be considered during all phases of this project.  All work shall be completed, equipment tested and adjusted per manufacturers recommendations and accepted by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and Contracting Officer (CO).  FCI Aliceville’s hours of operation for this project will be Monday thru Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm., excluding Federal Holidays.  All work must be scheduled within these working hours and time frame.  Any work that is required outside of this schedule must be preapproved by the COR, and Contracting Officer prior to beginning of any work.
