Description

SPECIAL NOTICE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), LTC Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan, is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to the Varian/Aria linear accelerators owned by the VA. NAICS Code 811219, size standard $22.0 million. The Government intends, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), to negotiate on a sole source basis with Varian Medical Systems (3100 Hansen Way, Palo Alto, CA 94304), for this procurement due to the proprietary nature of the hardware, software, and firmware of this system. The Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, equipment, materials, supervision, necessary to service the Varian equipment located at the LTC Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan, for the period of January 15, 2022 January 14, 2023 in strict accordance with the statement of work, all schedules, and terms and conditions of the resultant contract. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received NLT 3:30 EST on 10/28/2021.
