Description
The NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field Special Communications Mission Solutions Division has a requirement to procure 14 power supplies that support PMA-272 to modernize the AN/ALQ-255 jamming device systems in support of the Fleet Electronic Warfare Support Group.
The equipment detailed in this action was specifically designed to support specific replacement units to correct the source of the voltage surge that is damaging components, causing equipment failure for other components within the system, and impacting availability and maintainability of the AN/ALQ-255 jamming device system. The NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field Special Communications Mission Solutions Division has been instructed to procure the Champion Aerospace, LLC power supplies because they meet the unique form, fit and function of existing power supplies which conform to MIL-STD-704F. The Government intends to procure the above items on a sole source basis to S3 AeroDefense, LLC, Champion’s sole Government distributor, through a Firm-Fixed-Price contract.
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a limited competition basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government does not possess the necessary technical data to effectively solicit the development of the required supplies or services by full and open competition.
A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received by the response date and time of this notice. RESPONSES BY PHONE OR FAX WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
