PN: 12388109
Quantity: 505 Each
Description (specific requirements and specifications will be available when the solicitation is released):
1. The assembly shall be capable of operating under the following conditions with air flow measured in standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM) corrected to standard density of 0.075 LBM/FT(cubed):
a. The fan impeller speed shall not exceed 12,000 RPM
b. The static differential pressure between the ambient and outlet port of the assembly shall be at least 16.9 inches of water with an air flow of 1,000 SCFM minimum.c. The static differential pressure between the ambient and outlet port of the assembly shall be at least 19.9 inches of water with an air flow of 350 SCFM minimum.
2. The assembly shall be capable of operating under condition specified in note 1 at a maximum of 6.9 horsepower.
3. The assembly shall be capable of operating at an input speed up to 5,775 RPM.
4. The speed ratio shall be 1.0 to2.8 between the input shaft and the impeller.
5. The rotating inertia of the assembly measured at the fan input shaft shall be a minimum of .75 LBM/FT (squared) and a maximum of 1.70 LBM/FT(squared).
6. The assembly shall be capable of operating for 1,000 hours with an airflow of 1,320 SCFM minimum.
7. The assembly shall not be damaged by:
a. 20,000 input torques which result in an input shaft acceleration from 2,500 to 5,000 RPMs in 0.5 seconds.
b. 20,000 input torques which result in an input shaft deceleration from 5,000 to 2,500 RPMs in 0.5 seconds.
8. The assembly shall be lubricated with internally supplied lubricating oil at 25 pounds per square inch (PSI) minimum.
9. The flow of the lubricating oil through the assembly shall not exceed 0.5 gallons per minute (GPM) at an inlet port pressure of 40 PSI maximum.
10. The gearbox shall operate without leakage at an outlet port pressure of 5.0 PSI minimum.
11. The noise level generated by the assembly shall not exceed 96 decibels measured at a distance of 5 feet from the assembly during operation.
12. The weight of the assembly shall not exceed 25 pounds.
13. Operating Temperature: The assembly shall meet the specifications of paragraphs 1 and 2 during and after exposure to air flowing through the blower at temperatures ranging from minus 60 to plus 160 degrees Fahrenheit and external air temperatures ranging from minus 60 to plus 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 hours.
14. Submergence: After exposure the assembly shall meet the requirements of paragraph 1, 2 and 3 and shall show no signs of leakage.
15. The assembly shall meet the requirements of paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 during and after exposure to peak half-sine wave shock impulses of 30 +/- 3G. 11 +/- 1.1 millisecond applied in each direction of the 3 mutually perpendicular axes at the assembly mounting interface.
16. The assembly shall meet the requirements of paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 during and after exposure to peak half-sine wave shock impulses of 55 +/- 5.5G. 2.5 +/- 0.25 millisecond applied in each direction of the 3 mutually perpendicular axes.
17. Vibration: The assembly shall meet the requirements of paragraphs 1,2 and 3 during and after exposure to sinusoidal vibration in each of the 3 mutually perpendicular axes.
18. The assembly shall be capable of operating under the following conditions with an airflow measured in standard cubic feet per minute corrected to standard air density of 0.075 LBM/FT (cubed) after exposure to 6,000 LBS of an equal mixture of SAE J726 fine and course dust feed at a maximum rate of 1.25 grams/ft(cubed) (50 times zero visibility) with an airflow of 1,000 SCFM minimum.
a. The impeller speed shall not exceed 12,000 RPM.
b. The static differential pressure between the ambient and outlet port of the assembly shall be at least 16.9 inches of water with an air flow of 570 SCFM minimum.
c. The static differential pressure between the ambient and outlet port of the assembly shall be at least 19.9 inches of water with an air flow of 273 SCFM minimum.
19. Exposed functional parts shall be fabricated from suitable corrosion resistant material and /or treated to prevent corrosion.
20. Aluminum surfaces shall be anodized in accordance with MIL-A-8625.
21. Name plates and product markings shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-130.
