The HSI is a hermetically sealed, integrally lighted navigation instrument that presents a pictorial view of the aircraft's flight path as viewed from above. The VSI is a hermeticdally sealed, panel-mounted aircraft instrument designed to provide from remote inputs the vertical situation of the aircraft.  The HSI and VSI items support UH-60 helicopter missions and their availability is essential to successful, safe missions.

The Government does not possess the technical data (drawings or specifications) package (TDP) that completely defines form, fit and function of the units.  The TDP is not available for release.

The responses must demonstrate knowledge of the system including physical and functional interchangeability at the line replaceable unit (LRU) level with the items that the current source supplies for these NSNs.  The successful supplier may be required to warrant that the items supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
