Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build Construct Endoscopy Suite (Minor) Construction project at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 5500 E. Kellogg Ave., Wichita, KS 67218. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supervision and perform all work necessary to construct approximately 15,000 sf, three level addition to the south of Building 34. Each of the three levels will have a 5,000-sf floor plate. The addition will facilitate support for the endoscopy suite surgical waiting and recovery spaces on the second floor. The first floor of the addition will be occupied by Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) including a Tier 3 Level MCR and the ground floor will be occupied by Bio-Medical Repair & Maintenance (Bio-Med). In addition to the already mentioned three levels, the contractor will also be responsible for the mechanical penthouse on the fourth level. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The solicitation will be issued in early December of 2021. The period of performance is approximately 608 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
