Description

The purpose of this project is to reposition the mooring points on rows A-K. Work shall include removing existing tie-downs, filling the opening of the existing mooring points, installing new mooring points in appropriate spot, and installing new tie-downs in the new mooring points.  Additionally, a 100% design will be submitted and approved before any construction is to begin.

All current T-6 aircraft parking spots between rows Alpha and Kilo have mooring points and tie-downs directly underneath the T-6 aircraft tail lower vertical fin and slightly in front of the wings. During high winds, the chain used to tie-down the T-6 aircraft has caused damage to the T-6 aircraft leading to fewer aircraft being available for meeting the syllabus for those in the Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training Program. The repositioning of the mooring point and tie-down beneath the tail lower vertical further back behind the T-6 aircraft and the mooring points and tie downs slightly in front of the wings towards the wing tips would pull the chains away from the aircraft and avoid further damage during high winds.

The acquisition will be set aside for Women Owned Small Business (WOSB). The NAICS code for the acquisition is 237310 and the applicable small business standard size $39.5M. Any interested party may download a copy of the solicitation from this website once it is released. Copies of the solicitation are not available for mailing. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. The Government anticipates an award of a firm-fixed price contract as a result of the solicitation. All prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Registration may be accomplished at website https://www.sam.gov.

The magnitude of the requirement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
