Industry Day Notice

P-9837 Ambulatory Care Center and Dental Clinic Replacement

Naval Station Guantanamo Bay (NSGB)

Description

Date: Wednesday October 12, 2022 - Thursday October 13, 2022

Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST October 12; 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM October 13, 2022

Location:  Hilton Garden Inn – 145 Park Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073

The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast (NAVFAC SE) is developing a design-build request for proposal (DB RFP) for the P-9837 Ambulatory Care Center and Dental Clinic Replacement at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay. This work will consist of designing and constructing approximately 100,000 GSF of new ambulatory surgery and medical/dental clinic spaces with a central utility plant, ambulance garage, and helipad. To ensure effective execution, NAVFAC SE is seeking industry feedback and innovative ideas to improve the attached draft solicitation, to include possible pre-fabrication and modular construction opportunities. In an effort to increase competition and develop innovative construction strategies, as well as mitigate potential logistical challenges, interested DB contractors are encouraged to attend. Attendees will hear from NAVFAC SE, the NAVFAC HQ Medical Facilities Program Office (MFPO), and the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to gain insight concerning their respective roles in this project. Guantanamo Bay Public Works Department (PWD) will provide details on base logistics and details of performing work at this OCONUS location, and the Architect-Engineer (AE) who is developing the DB RFP will share project details and provide scope insight.  The contents of the draft DB RFP are for industry use in providing feedback during this Industry Day and are subject to change.

Breakout sessions will be conducted with potential offerors to meet one-on-one with the Government in the afternoon on October 12 and in the morning on October 13, 2022. The Government anticipates scheduling interested attendees for individual 45-minute meetings.
