36C25022Q1064 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Nursing Call V System The Dayton Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 4100 West Third Street Dayton, OH 45428 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.1061(b)(1)-Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 335999 with a small business size standard of 500. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Rauland SoundCom Systems 227 Depot Street Berea, OH 44017. The Dayton VAMC is requesting a Nurse Call V to add to the Xray/MRI/ONC areas. This includes service cost, parts, installation, and maintenance. Parts consist of all new head end cabinets, pull cord stations for restrooms, new corridor lighting for visual alarms, and new nurse stations master consoles along with all electronic connectors and wires to complete installation. Rauland Responder 5 Nurse call system is already being used in multiple areas throughout the hospital, new equipment shall be compatible with current equipment already in place. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Friday August 26, 2022 at 2PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.  All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.  A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
