Description

This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE.

This is NOT a Request for Quotes (RFQ), Invitation for Bids (IFB) or Request for Proposals (RFP). This notice is for information purposes only. It does not obligate the Government to award a contract or release a solicitation, nor to obligate funds in any way. The Government intends to release an RFQ solicitation in the near future.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District will be releasing a Request for Quotes (RFQ) solicitation in the near future to award a single contract for performing a prescribed burn of approximately 130 acres of established native prairie in Wabasha County, MN, southeast of Kellogg, near the West Newton Public Boat Launch. There will be an option for woody vegetation control (cutting and stump treating with herbicide) of approximately 200 stems across 51 acres, varying in size from 1-8" in diameter. This option will only be exercised after successful completion of the prescribed burn.

The prescribed burn will be completed when the weather, fuel and other site factors match the prescribed descriptions in the burn plan. The burning must occur between October 10 and November 25, to prevent impacts to the Rusty Patched Bumble Bees, a Federally listed endangered species known to be present at the site.

This solicitation will be 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses.

OFFEROR SHALL BE REGISTERED IN SAM (System for Award Management) https://www.sam.gov to include the FAR and DFARS Reps and Certs sections with the NAICS code applicable to the solicitation.
