This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested.

The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC),Depatment of Transfusion Medicine (DTM) intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price for preventive maintenance for Sequencing reagents with Illumina INC

 Illumina, provides the clinically approved platform for reagents, kits, and the respective instruments that may be used for patient care testing for differential gene expression analysis and tracking immunotherapy efficiency and monitoring side effects on clinical and research cellular products.  The preventive maintenance is required to compliance with manufacturer and FDA 21 CFR 211.67. The NextSeq550 sequencer instrument is a unique instrument that can help us identify specific cell populations and modifications to guide and improve cell product administrated to the patient. This instrument is needed to generate data that is required for providing guidance to improve immunotherapy efficiency of the cellular therapy product.

The purpose of this correspondence is to request a PO to purchase Preventive maintenance support for Illumina  under citation 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (2), 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (2) and FAR 6.302-1: Quality of product required for ongoing experiments as well as a Proprietary request/Only One Responsible Source.   

This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
