Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Complex Butner, North Carolina, intends to make an award to a responsible offeror for the provision of Bio-Medical Waste Removal at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Butner, North Carolina. This is a firm fixed price contract and will begin on October 01, 2024 and end on September 30, 2025. Please provide a quote for the whole duration of the contract.
FCC Butner is seeking a contractor to properly remove and perform thermal destruction of biomedical and pharmaceutical (chemo) waste material. The Contractor shall perform thermal destruction of infectious waste in environmentally approved incineration facilities or destruction as required by all Federal, State and local regulations. The Contractor shall furnish all approved containers. Removal shall be in approved containers and vehicles operated by licensed personnel as required by law. The Contractor will leave ample amount of tubs and lids for exchange upon request. This includes providing properly sanitized tubs, lids, and liners. Disposal charge does not include the weight of the reusable tubs or lids.
Pickup shall be performed during the normal work week, Monday thru Friday, on a mutually agreed upon day by the Contractor and the Government. There will be no pickups on federal holidays. Pickups scheduled for federal holidays will be rescheduled.
NOTE: One “pull” will be required each week. Time of pull will be during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The pickup site is located outside the secured perimeter.
The solicitation will be available on August 16, 2024 and will be distributed solely through sam.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. All questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted, in writing, to the listed government point of contact via email no later than 11:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The date for receipt of quotations is on Friday, August 31, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. EST. Payments will be made using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). All offerors must be actively registered in the Systems for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements at sam.gov.
