Description
The Contractor shall secure all electrical power supplied to canopy and (APPROX 4) lights utilizing proper OSHA approved lock out/ tag out procedures. The Contractors shall demolish and properly dispose of (APRROX 4) lights, electrical conduit and any wiring associated with the conduit. Electrical components shall be demolished back to nearest junction box. The Contractor shall demolish and properly dispose of the two outer canopies and any associated structures shown in section 8.1 and 8.2 of the Scope of Work. Canopies shall be demolished up to existing expansion joints which are shown in section 8.2 of the Scope of Work. All columns associated with the canopy (ARROX 40) shall be demolished and cut flush. The Contractor must take all safety precautions to not damage the existing concrete walkway and safety rails; which will remain in place. The Contractor shall add a safety rail in the area shown in section 8.2 of the Scope of Work. Railing shall match existing safety rail. The Contractor must field verify all existing conditions, prior to fabrication and placing orders for any new items/equipment within this SOW. The Contractor must dispose of all existing demolished/removed materials off base and will completely clean up job site after work is performed. Maintain daily site clean-up at the end of every workday during the entirety of the construction period, to prevent any hazard potential. Disposal must be in accordance with all existing Local, State, Federal and NAVFAC MIDLANT EV rules and regulations.
