Description

UPGRADE T1 SERVICE TO ETHERNET

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earthquake Monitoring Project (EMP) has a requirement to upgrade existing T1 service (1.44 mbps) at various earthquake monitoring sites in California to 10/100 mbps ethernet service, two main sites at minimum 100mbps and ten at minimum 10mbps. The two main sites are at Moffett Field and in Pasadena.
We intend to solicit competitive quotations in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.5, "Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services". The applicable product/service code is DG11, IT and Telecom - Network - Telecom Access Services. The applicable NAICS (2017) code is 517311, Wired Telecommunications Carriers, size standard 1,500 employee. This acquisition is unrestricted. The intended period of performance will be five years, either one base year with four option years or a two-year base period with three option years, depending on pricing and the availability of funding for immediate obligation.
