Description

STATEMENT OF WORK GENERAL INFORMATION 1. Title of Project: Install access control for the patient care trailers at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital. 2. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all resources (labor, materials/parts, tools, equipment, and transportation) necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this statement of work (SOW), except as may otherwise be specified. The patient care trailers at the main hospital campus (T-82, T-80, T-81, T-83, & T-62) will have newly installed electronic access. Additional Question for 36C24823Q0543-PIV Readers T-62 and T-80 to T-83 Are the door release buttons at the reception desk part of this scope and do we need to replace/connect/add new if not there? They will remain in place and operational Will the ADO int. paddles be operational after this installation under valid card read only? If not are we to disconnect them or remove them if they are not to be used. These should be operational after the installation Are there any drawing/floor plans that can be provided for the trailers where the work is being conducted? Yes and they will be provided Can a 16 reader Ulta Istar panel be used in a central location with conduit running to all trailers in leu of 5 Istar G2 Edge panels? In theory yes, however there would be additional site visits and work needed to ensure good conduit. The scope calls for an Edge panel in each so that s the recommended route to go. To clarify cards are not to be provided on this quote? Correct, Cards are supplied by our PIV office. Scope calls out PIV readers (Card only) and PIV Readers (card+pin)  Can you provide details on which reader will be used in each location if not the same throughout? The only card readers that we need for these areas are card only 200 bit encrypted PIV. They must be 200 bit. Work hours show in the Scope M-F 7-5PM, will we be allowed to work while the clinics are operational with patents? We will work to coordinate with management, so we don t cause an issue or stoppage in that area. Is there and ICRA Requirements for this installation and if so what Classification? About the only requirement would be the use of dust barriers. There s not asbestos in those areas. We just can t have dust getting everywhere. To clarify we will only be required to check in at security for a day pass for this installation? No additional clearances required correct? These are not considered sensitive areas so you will not be required any additional clearances. Contractors will check in with the police to receive a contractor badge and then will be free to go to the work areas. To Clarify VA will provide software from programing on an active work station correct? Programming will be done from one of the computers in our office. We have access to the server and we will allow the technician to get on there. Can we get pictures of door in T-82 labeled EEO, inside and out? We will also need a picture of where you are requesting us to install the panel in T-82. Please look at the floor drawing for T-82. It is very similar to the other trailers. Also please keep in mind network cables will need to be run back to the closest switch for each controller. Bldg T62 Bldg 80 Bldg T81 Bldg T82 Bldg T83 New Questions Should all interior, patience passageway doors include a remote, wired door release button at the main desk of each office? The internal doors do not currently have any buttons.  There is a handicapped button for each. In trailers T82, T81, and T62, can you confirm that access control equipment can be mounted INSIDE the IT/IDF room? The panels are allowed to go in the allotted space Please confirm that the IT Department will be providing the IP addresses and verifying the assigned network ports are operational BEFORE work commences? IP addresses are provided by the electronics shop. Do the interior doors leading into the patient areas need to be fail safe (i.e. open on fire alarm activation)? Yes
