GENERAL INFORMATION:
This IS NOT a request for bids, quotes, or proposal. This is a sources sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified sources. No award may be issued from this Request for Information Notice.
Interested parties of any size may submit a response to this notice.
NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS EXIST AT THIS TIME.

This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the BEP and does not imply an intention or the opportunity to acquire funding to support current or future efforts. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the information submitted.
OVERVIEW:
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is issuing this Sources Sought Notification for Zeiss AxioZoom.V16 Microscope. The Zeiss AxioZoom.V16 system will provide support to quality assurance testing of U.S. Banknotes, printing plates, films, and foils, as well as replace current outdated technology. This instrument can be utilized to perform high resolution imaging of materials used in currency manufacturing and develop new methods associated with the analysis of currency manufacturing materials. See attached Statement of Need (SON) for details.
RESPONSE INFORMATION:
Interested Parties whose products/systems possess the above characteristics are invited to submit the following information in a Capability Statement which includes the following:
1. The Sources Sought number
2. Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), email address, ALL applicable NAICS code(s), business size (i.e., small/large), company's socioeconomics (i.e., woman-owned, HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, etc.) and UEI Number.
3. The name, telephone number, and e-mail address of a technical point of contact having the authority and knowledge to clarify responses with a Government representative.
4. Identification of any GSA schedule numbers and SIN categories
5. Product/system summary including place of manufacture or origin of equipment
6. Complete description of technical characteristics, capabilities and any other product system/options offered by the vendor not listed in the above requirements;
7. Photographs, diagrams, and drawings of proposed products/systems;
8. General manufacturing and delivery lead times;
9. Rough-Order-Magnitude (ROM) Cost estimate (for budgetary purposes only)
10. Information on how many products/systems have been delivered and a reference list of customers currently using these products/systems for similar applications; and
11. A statement of whether or not commercially developed/non-development items, components, and equipment are currently in use to meet BEP’s requirements.

Interested Parties shall email their Capability Statement to jason.roberts@bep.gov. File attachments shall be in Portable Document Format (PDF). Telephone responses will NOT be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 05 Aug 2024, 4:00 p.m. (EST).
