This laser engraver is necessary for permanently etching controlled tools for aircraft maintenance to prevent mis-placement, lost tools grounding aircraft, and saving of funds. The size is a necessity for etching the various sizes of tools we posses. Without this, some tools will not be able to be accomplished. CO2 is the minimum we need to be able to etch the type of metals most tools are comprised of. A fiber laser will also suffice for our requirements but the CO2 is the cheaper between the two types of lasers. Prefer to have a dual source capability but not necessary.
Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.
FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation - The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: item technical capability, lowest price technically acceptable, and past performance.
