Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - New England District is issuing a Solicitation Notice for Articulated Boom Type Underbridge Inspection Vehicle Rental and One Person Operating Crew, Various Locations in CT, MA, NH, & VT.

THE WORK CONSISTS OF: The Contractor shall provide an articulated boom type underbridge inspection vehicle equipped with a communication system such that verbal contact can be maintained between the bucket/platform and main control station.  A driver shall also be provided to serve as the driver of the device. USACE will provide personnel to operate the basket. The Snooper will be used by USACE structural engineers to inspect fourteen (14) Corps-owned bridges at various sites in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont.  A list of bridges and photographs of each bridge is provided.  Some of these bridges have a small turning curve at its entrance and narrow bridge decks with a maximum curb-to-curb dimension of 10’-0”.  In order to accommodate access to these bridges, the Contractor shall provide an underbridge inspection vehicle to be used for all inspections. Inspection locations include the following:

  • West Thompson Lake, North Grosvenordale, CT
  • Colebrook River Lake, Colebrook, CT
  • Hop Brook Lake, Middlebury, CT
  • Littleville Lake, Huntington, MA
  • Barre Falls Dam, Barre, MA
  • Tully Lake, Royalston, MA
  • Surry Mountain Lake, Surry, NH
  • Franklin Falls Dam, Franklin, NH
  • Edward MacDowell Lake, Peterborough, NH
  • North Springfield Lake, North Springfield, VT
  • Ball Mountain Lake, Jamaica, VT
  • Townshend Lake, Townshend, VT
