Description
The Smithsonian Institution intend to award a Firm Fixed Price Professional Environmental Firm contract to perform inspections and monitoring services for hazardous waste materials and other environmental related services in various Smithsonian Institution facilities located in New York; Washington, DC metropolitan area (Mryland and Virginia).
The applicable North American Industry Classification Codes (“NAICS”) are 562910, size standard is $15 million. Smithsonian Institution has a requirement for a Task Order based IDIQ contract—with no Minimum Contracting Work/Amount Guarantee.
The objective is to award a One (1) year contract with Nine (9) one-year options. Services shall include, but not be limited to the following: hazard material site surveys, oversee and monitor miscellaneous hazardous material removal projects including, not limited to; removal of asbestos, lead based paint and PCB’s, perform soil subsidence surveys, and other environmental related services.
Eighty-five (85) percent of work is anticipated to be in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, which includes Maryland and Virginia. The remaining fifteen (15) percent of the work is anticipated to be other geographical locations where Smithsonian Institution facilities which includes, but not necessarily limited to, New York.
Task Orders placed under this IDIQ may include, but not necessarily limited to, services such as design, labor, staffing, procurement of supplies and materials Abatement Oversight and Monitoring, Contract Documents Preparation/Cost Estimates, perform other environmental related tasks assigned by the task order Manager. Review and update of SI Standard Asbestos Abatement Specifications and SI Standard Lead Abatement Specifications. Provide seminars to SI staff as requested by the Smithsonian
Provide consulting and testing services as requested for other environmental concerns such as lead, radon, PCB’s, hazardous materials, and indoor-air quality in accordance with applicable regulations and standard industry practices and procedures as directed.
The selected Contractor must be capable of responding to and working on multiple, large, and small task orders concurrently.
The Smithsonian will dispose of submitted material 60 days after receipt unless a specific written request is
made for its return.
