This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Request for Quotations number is 70Z08522QPLREP14622 and is issued as a request for quotations (RFQ). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quotations incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-84 dated Nov 1, 2015. The NAICS Code is 336611. The Small Business Size Standard is 7.5M. This is a total small business set aside. All responsible sources may submit proposals that will be considered by the agency. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. Interested parties submit your quote including freight cost on or before 02/22/2022 @ 0800 PST.

Generator Forward Main Seal Change Out

Background:

During operations, watchstander discovered oil leaking from the #1 Ship Service Diesel Generator forward main seal at approx. 1-2 pints every 4hrs. NC Machine (CAT Tech) and SF inspected the counterbalance weight bolts are seized in place; counterbalance is interference to effect seal repair. CAT Peterson will need to remove seized bolts in order to gain access to seal.

Statement of Work:

Contractor to provide on-site certified CAT support to complete generator Forward Main Seal replacement. Engine serial number 0NSC00004, model 3512B. Services as well as provide requested spare parts.

REPLACE GASKET/SEAL CRANKSHAFT FRONT SEAL
REPLACE FRONT CRANKSHAFT SEAL PER CUSTOMER REQUEST.

Estimated support will be 2 business days. Dependent of Parts Delivery and Technician Availability.

NOTE: Actual cost for added services and travel will be billed at the conclusion of work. This will come via Condition Found Report.

Parts:

            The Coast Guard will provide the following parts:

  1. None. CAT Technician will provide all parts/ special tools to complete repairs to forward main seal.

Note: tech rep needs to be wearing a N95 mask, latex gloves, monitoring body temperature and reporting any Covid-19 symptoms.
