V212--San Diego VA Healthcare System Wheelchair and Hired Car Transport

SYNOPIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION: The Contractor shall provide Wheeled and Hired Car Services to Veteran patients of the main VASDHS Medical Center and its participating Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week including holidays as requested by the Government. All services shall be provided in accordance with the terms, conditions and requirements as specified herein. The contractor shall provide medical companion escort services for pre and post ambulatory procedures for Veterans. The medical companion escort must remain on the premises in the 3S Special Procedure waiting area until the veteran is released. This service is for Veterans for have no social support available. The hours for this service are 4:00 am thru 10:00 pm, excluding holidays as listed by the Government. This requirement is a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract, and the contract period will be for six (6) months for the base year, with the potential of four (4) 12-month option periods to be exercised at the option of the Government.  Based on the results of market research under Sources Sought Notice 36C26224Q0055, posted on 10/31/2023 at SAM.gov, an electronic solicitation may be issued on or about February 14, 2024 at Sam.gov.   The VA intends to make a single award as a result from this solicitation.
