Description

The Library of Congress (Library) requires contract support to purchase conservation-quality motion picture film cans for acetate and polyester-based motion picture film. The cans help to ensure Library of Congress (LC) safety film motion picture materials are optimally stored, to slow the rate of decay. The film cans will be used to house motion picture film (acetate and polyester) material in cold vaults as part of conservation stabilization efforts. This allows LC’s material to be preserved and accessed by members of Congress and the public long into the future, in service of the Library’s Mission.
