The Library of Congress (Library), one of the largest libraries in the world with over 150 million items, is seeking a single or multiple award IDIQ contract for general collections care in in the service area of commercial binding. Library binding is the most basic and universal form of preservation a library performs. Library bound books last longer and can be less expensive to maintain over time. Binding secures and protects softbound monograph and serial volumes, which may range in size from a few inches in both dimensions to large folios. The Library requires a contractor to provide commercial binding.
