Description

Request For Information (RFI) Stratton VA Medical Center Project Name: Parking Lot & Traffic Marking Rehab/Striping Project #: 528A8-22-824 Solicitation#: 36C24222B0064 August 17, 2022 RFI #1 Q; When will the contractor be able to schedule all work requirements? Please provide the time and days. A: Fri evening 5PM- thru Monday morning 6AM. Lots are to be returned to full operation during the week. RFI #2 Q; On Page 48, section D reads, work will be accomplished in phases to reduce the impact on normal operations of the Medical Center. Based on this statement, can it be clarified how the VA wants to see the phases executed? (i.e. Break each phase one parking lot at a time, break each phase into half a parking lot at a time, break each phase into sections of a parking lot only, etc.) A: No more than 25% of Lot-A at a time. No more than 33% of Lot-B at a time. No more than 25% of Lot-C at a time. RFI #3 Q; Does the VA want one layer or two layers of sealcoating on the asphalt?  A: One layer will be fine. RFI #4 Q; Please confirm the VA does not require crack sealing done. A: No crack sealing. RFI #5 Q; Do you have the square footage, number of parking spaces that need to be lined, traffic lines and crosswalks? A: Contractor shall furnish all parts and labor to sealcoat all areas of parking lots A-C @ 375,000 sg ft. Contractor shall furnish all parts and labor to restripe all 7 parking lots A-C, Fisher House & Bldgs. 25, 26/27 & 67. to match existing layout. @ 1430 parking spots. Contractor shall furnish all parts and labor to restripe all roadways to match existing layout. Including crosswalks, turn lanes and stop stripes. @ 15 crosswalks and 3000 LF of pavements markings.
