THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The 21st Contracting Squadron is conducting market research to determine interest and capability of potential sources. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.

Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado is seeking potential sources to provide a professional-grade Bassoon, per the below specifications.  

Specifications:

• Must have a four (4) octave range (A1 – G5)
• Must have low-friction push rods and pivot screws in synthetic sleeves for silent key action
• Must have half-hole mechanisms for F-sharp3 and G3
• Must have automatic venting keys from A-flat3 – F4
• Must have wide bore design
• Must have enlarged tone holes 
• Must have redesigned acoustical concept with precisely shaped bore taped for exact intonation
• 3rd Harmonic Key
• Additional rear A-flat key for right thumb
• Additional alternate E-flat buttons for right index finger and right thumb
• Additional E/F-sharp trill key
• Hardcase with wheels
• Game Stand
• Standing Peg

The anticipated solicitation will be issued under North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code 339992 - Musical Instrument Manufacturing. The size standard is 1,000 employees.
