This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

This solicitation is being issued for 100% total small business set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 238220, and the business size standard is $19.0 Million.

This will be awarded as a trade-off.

This combined/solicitation/synopsis is for the purchase of the following commercial services and products.

 Automation System HVAC Control System Replacement

BRAND NAME REQUIREMENT: Installation of a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control system at Lake Charles, LA Weather Forecast Office (WFO). The new system will replace aging and obsolete HVAC Control System. Installing the Automated Logic system will reduce the amount of different manufacture parts needed to support SR facilities within the supply chain. In consultation with NWS HQ a determination was made to install Automated Logic as Southern Region locations going forward. A standardized approach is needed to bring all SR locations onto standard HVAC preventative maintenance service contracts, ensure IT security and consistent energy reduction in support of government energy reduction goals and to ensure continued support in future fiscal years. Automated logic controls are currently in place at about 90% of Southern Region locations.
