CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) Software

The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to award a sole source purchase order to:

Master CAM is an industry standard CAM package. NRL personel have been previously trained on this CAM Softare which allows them to function at an excelerated level while learning. Post processors are compatible with existing NRL machines (HAAS, Hurco, Isel).  CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) Software allows researchers and engineers to use NRL manufacturing machines to their highest capasity.

To furnish:

Mill 3D 1 EACH
Includes: Design, Engrave, Rast2Vec, and Nesting. Includes all capabilities of Mastercam Mill as well as advanced 3D machining for solids, surfaces, and STL meshes. Powered by Mastercam Dynamic Motion® technology, Mill 3D includes roughing, semi-roughing, multiple surface 3D HST toolpaths, and Accelerated Finishing® strategies optimized for high-speed machining applications

Multi-axis 1 EACH
Simultaneous 4 and 5-axis machining capability for Mastercam with Accelerated Finishing®. Includes 5-Axis Curve Machining and Drilling and 5-Axis Swarf Cutting

The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 423430 with the size standard of 500. The Federal Supply Code (FSC) / Product Service Code (PSC) procurement is 7B20.                                             

This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with:                                                           

Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $250,000.

Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement in accordance with the posted opening and closing dates. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.  Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
