The award of the call FA485523F0025 was awarded as a firm fixed price, non competitive award. At the time of the establishment of the Blanket Purchase Agreement, French Funerals Cremations, Inc. was the only contractor in New Mexico that showed interest, had the capabilities to meet the government's needs and held an active SAM registration. French Funeral and Cremations, Inc. has successfully completed mortuary affair services for Cannon AFB in the past. Due to the dire need of an established mortuary affairs contract vehicle, 27 SOCONS could not afford to spend an extended period of time helping potential mortuary affair contractors to register in SAM.
