Notice of Intent to Sole Source

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to award a single, firm fixed price contract in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements) to Imagery Optics, LLC, a Small Business.

This anticipated sole source award to Imagery Optics, LLC will support and service Richards HFO series light tables, Zoom 500 and Zoom 240 stereoscopes, Zoom 500 Digital System, and associated equipment.  The contract will include maintenance, scheduled preventative maintenance, ad hoc repairs, optics calibrations, and accessories such as video copy processors, closed-circuit TV monitors, and optics train mounted video cameras, LTMS systems, and optics objective lenses.  Responsibilities include maintaining existing spares, preparing light tables and optics for transport between agency facilities, and preparing equipment for long term storage.  Imagery Optics, LLC will be required to possess a Top Secret Facility Clearance, and all personnel working with NGA on this project will be required to have Top Secret Security Clearances with active SCI access. 

Equipment is located at the Springfield, Va. headquarters, other locations throughout the National Capital Region, and Charlottesville, Va., St. Louis, Mo., Huntsville, Ala., Colorado Springs, Colo., and Tampa, Fla.

Despite market research, the NGA has been unable to identify any other sources that can fulfill this requirement; therefore, in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the NGA intends to issue a sole source solicitation to Imagery Optics, LLC.

This notice does not constitute a request for proposals, quotations, or bids and does not commit NGA to contract for any supplies or services.
