Description

This is a sources sought synopsis in support of a market survey being conducted by the 316th Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Andrews, MD 20762 in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10, Market Research, to determine interest and capabilities of potential sources to provide: CEF Fire Truck Alteration   

This synopsis is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, a synopsis of a solicitation, a commitment on the part of the Government to later publish a solicitation, or ultimately award a contract. The Government will not reimburse the costs of preparing or submitting a response to this synopsis.  

The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors to provide: 

CEF Fire Truck Alteration   

SCOPE_ The government requires a non-personnel services contract to provide an alteration to Engine 743 to help significantly increase the flight’s safety posture and extend the life-span of the flight’s life-safety equipment that is stored on this particular vehicle. The alteration will include 1) add/fabricate firefighting equipment, 2) headlights, 3) scene lighting and 4) safety equipment. The key point in this modification is to allow CEF to store equipment in a manner that meets the needs of the flight and wing mission. The alteration must be done with materials that are rustproof and resistant to breakage and all equipment must be mounted with G-rated holders and straps in accordance with National Fire Protection Standard (NFPA) 1901. 

Interested sources capable of providing this requirement must respond via e-mail to tiana.ware.1@us.af.mil, referencing CEF Fire Truck Alteration  

 23 August 2022, at 0800AM EST (local time).  

Interested sources shall indicate whether they are capable of providing the subject requirement, how long after issuance of a purchase order would it take to complete the requirement, and furthermore indicate their size and status (i.e., small business, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, SDVOSB, etc.).  Product Service Code J042 NAICS 336211

No other information is required at this time. Based upon the responses received, the Government will determine the set-aside method for the procurement. An award will not be made on offers received in response to this notice.  This source sought synopsis is not a Request for Quote (RFQ); it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources.
