Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, has a construction requirement at its National Center for Applied Plant Protection in Laurel, Maryland. NCAPP safeguards agricultural resources from the risks associated with the entry, establishment or spread of exotic plant diseases introduced into the United States. The requirement is to install a new effluent decontamination system, which treats the hazardous waste NCAPP produces. Several key components on the existing system are either deteriorating or inoperable, so work includes cleaning, removing, and disposing of it. Most of the work is mechanical, with incidental electrical work. The solicitation and attachments are posted below.
