Background: The Lake Eva float plane dock, which is an aluminum gangway used to access the cabin, was damaged and sheered from the mounting block by an extreme weather event in the winter of 2020. The dock drug anchor and is no longer in the correct orientation to the gangway/cabin. This is a non-personal services contract to repair the Lake Eva float plane dock to pre-storm condition, as well as make some minor improvements.
Project Location: Lake Eva recreation cabin is located on the east side of Baranof Island. A vicinity map can be found in Appendix 4 Original Construction Drawings. The cabin is accessible by float plane or by boating to the Lake Eva trailhead on Hanus Bay and walking 1.75 miles on a non-motorized trail then boating across the lake to the cabin. The Lake Eva cabin is not accessible by road.
