HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS IN MOUNTAIN HOME, IDAHO
INTRODUCTION
- The Contractor shall provide hotel accommodations for up to 264 personnel in Mountain Home, Idaho between 18 Aug 2021 and 01 Oct 2021 (inclusive).
REQUIREMENTS
- Room Requirements. The number of Single and Twin rooms required in Boise and the itinerary is provided in attached Excel Worksheet. Additional single rooms are required to be set aside to isolate suspected or positive COVID-19 cases when the need arises.
CARDINAL REQUIREMENTS
- Class of Accommodation. The class of accommodation should be a maximum of 3-star in rating as this will give an assurance in the security and well-being of the servicemen put up at the accommodation.
- Proximity to MHAFB. The accommodation(s) shall be located within Mountain Home, Idaho so that the one-way travelling time to Mountain Home Air Force Base (MHAFB) can be kept to a reasonable 30 mins (approximately 15 mile radius) by car to minimise travel fatigue. This will ensure that the servicemen can have sufficient rest after a 10 – 12 hours working shift during the exercise.
- COVID-19 Safety Measures. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated extraordinary requirements to minimise the risk to the servicemen and to maintain morale in view of the living restrictions. The accommodation should be within 15 minutes driving distance to grocery stores and/or supermarkets. This will allow the servicemen access to food and other public amenities in the vicinity of their accommodations so that they can reduce exposure to wider public areas. There should also be no more than 2 beds per room and the bathrooms are required to be en-suite (per room) to minimise contact between servicemen and other guests.
