Description

This action was awarded as an 8(a) Sole Source Set-Aside under the authority of section 8(a) of the Small Business Act.

The contractor shall furnish all parts, material, labor, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the work for MUNS Haul Road.  The work shall include the following requirements listed in the specific requirements.

  1. The contractor will need to place signs, guardrails and bollards that will eliminate potential roll-over accidents and property damage. 
  2. There are three gates located along MUNS Haul Road.  While close no threat is presented but when open the height of the gate is too high for a Humvee driver to become distracted and fatally injuring.  The contractor shall place guard rail in front of the gate while open in an effort to prevent this incident. 
  3. There are 6 areas along MUNS Haul Road that have retention areas that require guard rail to be placed along the road to prevent a vehicle from entering if distracted.  The guard rails shall comply with NMDOT standards.  The guard rails shall be grounded and have a certified lightning protection system.
  4. The contractor shall place a sign on either end of the single lane bridge indicating so.
  5. Contractor shall price placing a sensor directly across the cluster of comm locations which will identify when a vehicle crosses them. A second option may be placing an IR beam to serve the same purpose.
