Description

Salt Cedar Removal - Cherokee, OK.

The treatment need for salt cedar removal is to extract all trees (primarily salt cedar) above ground biomass and associated root crowns at minimum 6" below ground level. The extracted trees will be stacked for burning in either a continuous linear or large piles and with minimal soil within the piles.

Burning of piles will be conducted by refuge staff and is not part of this contract. Disturbance of
soils by equipment is expected, but deep disturbances or holes will be backfilled. Most tracks and small divots are acceptable. The polygon area is approximately 517 acres with <50% tree coverage (see attached map).
Area is prone to flooding and access is weather dependent. Optimal months are normally July through September, and January through March.

Vendor must submit a written statement that indicates that the vendor understands and is able to perform the requested work.
