Description

RFQ No. 36C25923Q0808 Amendment No. 0003 Purpose for Amendment - Posting Questions & Answers September 8, 2023 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Question 1 - What is the horsepower of each of the 4 fire-tube boilers? VA Response - 700 HP Question 2 - What is the average steam rate (or load) of the boilers? Annual steam produced would be preferred number if that is available. If not, estimate of the average rate works. If easier, a winter average and summer average would work for us to do our calculations/mass balance. VA Response - The average steam rate is 105 lbs. We provide the campus with 105LBS of steam. The amount of production depends on the demand needed for the campus and the ambient temperature outside. Question 3 - What is the average tonnage of cooling during the summer? What is the average tonnage of cooling in the winter? VA Response - The amount of tonnage remains the same during both winter and summer. Question 4 - Is there a cycles of concentration target? VA Response - 100ppm Question 5 - Is there a water analysis available for the make-up water? VA Response - Daily water testing reports Question 6 - Is there an opportunity to come onsite to survey the systems? VA Response No site visit will be arranged at this time.
