Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ANNOUNCEMENT IAW FAR 15.201(e). A MARKET SURVEY FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTES AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SYNOPSIS IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIALLY QUALIFIED SOURCES AND THEIR SIZE CLASSIFICATIONS (SMALL BUSINESS, LARGE BUSINESS, ETC.) PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF A SOLICITATION, AS ONE DOES NOT EXIST.

The objective of this Statement of work is to obtain high-speed commercial internet service (CIS) to satisfy the needs of LeMay Public Affairs.  The contractor will install internet in three facilities located on Maxwell AFB, AL and provide internet service to those locations for a period of 5 years (One base year and four options years).

  1. Installation.  The contractor will provide all personnel, equipment, transportation, and supplies needed to install internet drops within three facilities listed in paragraph 1.3.1.1.  Equipment must be current and up-to-date and adhere to all applicable industry standards.  Installation service must adhere to all applicable industry standards and use proper cabling management techniques.
  2. Internet Service.  Contractor will provide continuous uninterrupted internet service (24 hours a day, seven days a week) and maintain a 90% reliability rating. Satellite and cellular services will not be accepted because the can be unreliable during extreme weather conditions and have known latency issues.  Contractor will provide an unlimited data plan for each location with no reduction to upload/download speeds during peak network use.
  3. Technical Support. Contractor must provide 24-hour phone tech support to resolve service and equipment issues.  For equipment failure contractor will provide on-site support within 24 hours of being notified for low-priority service calls.  For high-priority service calls an onsite technician must respond within 4 hours of being notified.
