Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice 36C25223B0023 Project: Rehabilitate Ogden Elevators Project Number: 537-21-101 Location: Jesse Brown VAMC, Chicago, IL PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and qualified supervision to rehabilitate Ogden obsolete passenger and freight elevators. Work includes the preparation of site for building operations, including minor demolition of elevator door infill and perform work for the modernization of the existing elevators serving building 11B as well as the addition of a new elevator in the existing empty elevator shaft at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center (JBVAMC) in accordance with the Construction Documents. Time for completion is 470 calendar days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed issued by the Contracting Officer. The project magnitude range is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238290 Other Building Equipment Contractors, Size Standard: $22.0 million. Pursuant to Public Law 109-461, this solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), at the time of submission of bids, and prior to award of any contracts, the offeror must represent to the contracting officer that it is a: (1) SDVOSB eligible vendor IAW VAAR Subpart 819.70; https://www.va.gov/oal/library/vaar/vaar819.asp#8197001 (2) Small business concern under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to the acquisition; and (3) Certified SDVOSB listed in the SBA certification database at https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/ (see 13 CFR 128). No other sources will be considered. All interested parties shall have a current registration and current annual On-line Representation and Certifications Application (ORCA) in the System Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov prior to award. The solicitation (including any/all specifications and drawings) is scheduled be posted to Contract Opportunities found at https://SAM.gov on or about June 13, 2023. The bid opening is scheduled for on or about July 13, 2023. A pre-bid conference/site walk-through will be conducted for this project and the time and date will be announced in the solicitation. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
