Description
The Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA (NMCP) and it’s outlying TRICARE clinics supports past and present military members and their families. This acquisition will provide ice machine maintenance to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA and it’s outlying clinics.
This Request for Information (RFI) is issued to assist the Contracting Officer in conducting market research to establish if two or more responsible certified Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) participants are present on SAM.gov that can provide the required services.
Administrative Information:
1. The period of performance for this sample requirement includes a base period of 12 months and four (4) 12-month option periods; for a total of 60 months (if all options are exercised).
2. This sample requirement is for non-personal services. This sample requirement will be performance based and services are considered to be severable services. A Quality Assurance Surveillance Program (QASP) will be provided in the event a solicitation is issued.
3. If an award would result from a subsequent solicitation, the contract type would be Firm Fixed Price (FFP).
4. The applicable NAICS code for this sample requirement is 811412 - Appliance Repair and Maintenance.
5. Services will be provided at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA (NMCP).
Sample Excerpted PWS
1. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, other items, and non-personal services to perform cleaning and preventative maintenance support for ice machines as defined in this Performance Work Statement (PWS) except for those items specified as Government furnished property and services. The Contractor shall perform to the standards in the PWS.
2. SPECIFIC TASKS
2.1. The Contractor shall provide maintenance services to include monthly maintenance of ice machines and to include repair services as needed. The Contractor shall provide cleaning and preventative maintenance support and on-site repairs for ice machines and support items/components listed below.
2.2. The Contractor shall clean ice machines on a monthly basis. Cleaning services shall include:
a. Cleaning condensers, drains, and drip pans monthly.
b. Chemically cleaning and sanitizing units quarterly.
c. Replace filters in each ice machine quarterly.
2.3. The Contractor shall notify Government of any issues and/or defects during the cleaning of ice machines. At this time, the Contractor shall provide repair services, if approved by the Government.
