Description
CONTINUATION Q: Does the VA want the entry doors on the driver s side of the unit? A: Only one entry door is needed so an entry door is not required on both sides of the trailer. Due to site requirements, site believes that the patient lift platform and entry stairs should be on the driver side of the trailer which would also require the control room desks to be on the passenger side. Request selected vendor to validate which side entry should be on upon award. Q: Does the VA want a swing door to allow a direct connection between a second trailer? A: No, this is not needed. Q: What obstacles are located along the planned delivery routes? Trailers are extra-wide loads that can catch on building corners, trees, streetlights, and many other obstacles. A: The designed pad for the transportable can be accessed via the parking lot off the road leading to the CBOC.   There are no building corners, trees, or streetlights to contend with. A removable guard rail and balustrades with planning can be removed just before delivery. Q: Will the VA clear the route of movable obstacles such as trash cans, benches, etc.? A: Yes Q: Will a crane or other heavy equipment be necessary for lifting the trailer into position? A: Please see pictures Q: Will VA facilities staff work to ensure that there are no physical plant changes that may impact the trailer location? (it s amazing how much difficulty can arise from doors being added to a neighboring building) A: MRI pad is off the road and is surrounded by rail and balustrades which will be removed just before delivery. Q: Is it possible to get pictures of the location for planning/budgeting purposes? A: Photos attached
