Notice of Intent to Sole Source – DBI/Image Systems Gemini 12G Monitor

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. This is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), hereby announces its intent to issue a sole source order/contract to Double Black Imaging Corporation. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 423430, Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers, with a size standard of 250 employees.

The Coal Workers Health Surveillance Program views and classifies medical images, and trains physicians to become B Readers. Medical images must be viewed on medical grade diagnostic monitors per industry regulations. Medical Monitors are required under the B Reader/B Reader certification program component of the CWHSP.

 Two Gemini “12G” Medical Monitor, part # C12MPG-1P22, will be ordered and delivered to NIOSH in Morgantown, WV. Order will include Image Systems Calibration Feedback System Local Client Software, installation, license code and set up. The monitors will be used during radiograph reviews and classifications and B Reader Tests.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action will be based on responses to this notice and is solely in the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

All vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov

This action is for supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations.

This is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will review any/all product, capabilities, and pricing information submitted prior to the closure of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
