Description
The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service is seeking to modernize four (4) existing hydraulic elevators, two of the existing elevators are public passengers and two are U.S. Marshals Service elevators.
All work performed under this contract shall meet or exceed the latest ASME-A17.1 Elevator Code and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards.
In accordance with FAR 36.204, disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects, the construction cost of magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The NAICS code is 238290 - Other Building Equipment Contractors. It is anticipated that this project will take approximately 550 calendar days to complete. Please note that there is no solicitation at this time; the purpose of this announcement is to identify available sources only.
Firms responding to this Sources Sought shall address the following:
(1) Manufacturer/Brand elevator system you currently service.
(2) It is requested that interested firms submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 5 pages in length, single-space, 12 point font) demonstrating the ability to perform the requested work.
(3) Relevant experience: Provide 3 projects to include experience in similar size and scope of projects performed within the last five years, include whether the project was performed as a prime or sub-contractor, value, square footage of project, a brief description of how the project relates to the technical work required described herein.
(4) Statement regarding bonding capabilities.
(5) Indicate if your company is a small business and the socio-economic status, if any.
(6) It is anticipated that the resultant solicitation will require the prime contractor to perform 95% of the work for this project; please confirm that your company can meet this requirement.
