Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC Guaynabo, Puerto Rico), intends to issue a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice No. 15B30624Q00000015 for the provisions of Safety Shoes/Boots. This is a Firm-Fixed-Price type of requirement contract. The items and services will be provided to individuals who are employed with the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment, located at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) at 652 road 28, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, 00965-5700. This acquisition is 100% Small Business set aside restricted as to business size. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS code) for this requirement is 316210 – Footwear Manufacturing. The associated small business size standard is 1,000 employees.
Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 4.1102 requires all contractors seeking or currently doing business with the government to be registered with the System of Award Management (SAM) prior to award; information can be obtained at https://www.sam.gov/. Each offer must complete the FAR Provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications section at the On-line Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a written offer which will be considered for award. The award will be made to the responsible vendor or individual who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price related factors and past performance.
The solicitation will be available on or about June 21, 2024, and will be published through the System of Award Management (SAM) website at https://sam.gov/content/home. The quote, signed by an individual authorized to bind the offer, must be submitted to the address contained within the solicitation posting by 11:00 am eastern standard time with a due date of July 1, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., The anticipated date of award is on or about July 5, 2024.
