Description
The Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, VA 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a sole source, Firm Fixed-Price contract for preventive and emergency maintenance on Naval Ocean Processing Facility’s Active Power, Inc.’s flywheel system. This requirement will be processed under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13. The resulting contract is intended to be awarded on a sole source basis to Active Power, Inc., a division of Piller Power Systems, Inc. The Government intends to procure three years of preventive and emergency maintenance, for Naval Ocean Processing Facility. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811310. This office will no longer issue a hard copy of the Request for Quote (RFQ); therefore, a copy can be obtained from http://www.neco.navy.mil or http://www.fedbidopps.gov on or about 1 March 2022. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award (https://www.sam.gov), during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this RFQ, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the internet at https://www.bpn.gov.
