DESCRIPTION: GSA PBS REGION 10 POINT ROBERTS FIRE ALARM REPLACEMENT (LAND PORT OF ENTRY)

This is a Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information for the General Services Administration (GSA), Public Building Service (PBS), Region 10, Northwest/Arctic Region. This is not a solicitation announcement and there is no request for proposals or related documents.
GSA is currently conducting market research to determine the existence of viable commercial sources for a single firm-fixed price contract for the design and installation of a new fire alarm system the main building of the Point Roberts Land Port of Entry main building and storage shop. Work shall include complete design submittals and construction for complete replacement of the fire alarm, notification systems, panels, devices, components, wiring, etc. All work shall meet requirements of NFPA, GSA PBS 100, and GSA R10 Policy. See SOW for additional detail.
The Point Roberts Land Port of Entry is located at 50 Tyee Dr., Point Roberts, WA.
All work is anticipated to take place after hours, 6pm to 6am daily. Workdays exclude weekends and federal holidays.
The tentative North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code selected for this acquisition is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and the small business size is $39.5 million per annum.
An important outcome of this research is the possibility of setting this acquisition for exclusive competitive participation among small businesses. In accordance with (IAW) FAR 19.201(a) It is the policy of the Government to provide maximum practicable opportunities in its acquisitions to small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business concerns.
Interested contractors shall complete the attached questionnaire and submit it with a capabilities statement. The capabilities statement shall describe:
- The contractor’s capability and experience to complete the described work.
- Capacity to complete the described work (who will you assign to this project and their availability).
Please limit your capabilities statement to two (2) pages.
