Description

MICC is requiring a project that will provide the labor, equipment, and materials to renovate Building 3702 at Fort Sill, OK. Demolition and renovation shall be done in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications and consist of transforming the building to meet the Unified Facilities Criteria and the Advanced Standard Training (AST) standard. Building 3702 was originally designed in 1999 and constructed in 2002. Each of its three stories encompasses approximately 4,123 enclosed square feet. The gross enclosed area of the facility is approximately 12,370 square feet. From the first-floor slab to the top of the roof, the building is approximately 40’ high. The facility consists of three (3) levels sitting on top of a crawl space, with an attic containing mechanical equipment. The building horizontal circulation relies on exterior open terraces enclosing the living spaces. The mechanical spaces servicing the building located in the center and accessible through a breezeway are small because the HVAC system is based on water-to-air heat exchange units serviced by a central plant in the neighboring Community Building to the north. Besides those on each floor, there are electrical equipment rooms as well as common mud and maid rooms. The proposed remodel of Building 3702 meets the requirements of the Statement of Work and complies with applicable criteria including Unified Facilities Criteria and the Advanced Standard Training (AST) standards. The proposed interior layout makes small but meaningful tweaks to the existing plans. Architectural elements: windows, doors, ceilings, flooring, roof, roof gutters, and interior wall finishes are to be demolished and replaced. Exterior stairs are to be evaluated for repairs or replacement. Living Quarters basis of design shall be a 1 + 1 configuration with a 135 square foot bedroom each with a 32 square foot walk-in closet. The two private bedrooms will continue to share a bathroom. All work will be done in accordance with specifications, drawings and incidentals.
