The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 238220 with a size standard of $19 Mil. This acquisition will be solicited as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 14 and 36. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. The project magnitude is estimated between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Place of performance will be Clark County, Nevada.

The National Park Services requires a contractor to replace the modified bituminous roof and HVAC system located on the Alan Bible Visitor Center Roof. The roof was replaced in 2010 and all the roof surfaces are showing signs of needing replacement as they are near the end of their service lives. Leaks that created damage to internal ceiling tiles have been observed by park staff. This project will replace the roof before it experiences further deterioration that could result in significant failure. The HVAC units are nearing the end of their practical service life and are not very energy efficient. The units should be replaced to reduce O&M costs of the Visitor Center, as well as meet Energy Star specifications. The units serve the following spaces ¿ Offices including the basement and restrooms (12 ton), Auditorium (15 ton), and Lobby (4 ton), there are 3 small (1.5 ton) mini-split systems serving the elevator machine room, electrical room, and auditorium projector room as well. The repairs would include:

¿ Replacing approximately 4,935 SF of modified bituminous roof.
¿ Installing new plywood, insulation, cover boards, and asphalt sheets.
¿ Assessing competency of the structural deck.
¿ Removal of existing HVAC systems including ducting systems and curbs.
¿ Installing new mechanical and electrical components for proper operation of HVAC units.
¿ Installing 4 rooftop HVAC units and 3 mini-split AC units including economizers with powered
exhaust and operational outside air dampers.
